to Donate National Golf in Schools Packages!

Do you know of a school that would benefit from having a National Golf in Schools Package?

Golf Central and HBM Integrated, two locally owned and operated business's, have teamed up to donate two (2) National Golf in Schools Kits (NGIS) to two deserving schools in Nova Scotia.

The Nova Scotia Golf Association is now accepting applications from Elementary Schools, NSGA Members, and Clubs across Nova Scotia, who are interested in delivering the National Golf in Schools Program at an elementary school.  The two requirements are: that your school is in Nova Scotia and that an application is completed.  "We are looking for two schools that would like to have golf as an integral part of the physical education program. These (NGIS) kits retail at $475.00 each. We are fortunate enough to have two great local companies like Golf Central and HBM Integrated who have stepped up to purchase these kits. Now there is just the need to find two schools in the province that can use this great resource." said David Campbell, Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Golf Association.

Applications are to be filled out and sent to the Nova Scotia Golf Association on or before June 28, 2013. Two schools will be selected from the applicants to receive a 'Golf in Schools' Kit in September 2013.

About the National Golf in Schools Program

The Golf in Schools program has been developed to deliver Physical Education learning outcomes through the sport of golf.  The initial element of the program is focused on assisting elementary school teachers (specialists and non-specialists) with and without a background in golf, to plan and deliver quality learning experiences using golf as the vehicle.  Developed by the Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada) in partnership with Golf Canada and the PGA of Canada, the learning resource was designed to meet the learning outcomes of elementary schools curriculum across Canada.
