About Golf Central

Golf Central is a golf retail business that began in 1985 as a two person operation in a small location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Over the years our business has grown and expanded into the golf gift market with a concept store added in Halifax (Bayers Lake). Inside, you'll not only find a large selection of brand name golf equipment, you'll also find "Putting Around Gifts", a one-of-a-kind store, offering gifts for all kinds of golfers.

Golf Central has built its' success on selling brand name products at competitive prices. It has been our great prices, extensive selection, and the quality service that has formed our fine reputation that exists today. We promote what the customer needs rather than what we need to sell. We take our time with every customer to make sure that they are getting exactly what they want and what is best suited to their game. We also have a fully staffed repair shop on site that enables us to regrip, reshaft, bend clubs and putters, among many other to custom fit each individual golfer.

Golf Central staff are selected from the golfing community and in turn understand the unrelenting urge golfers have to improve their game.

In January 2009 the Dartmouth store closed and the Halifax reins were turned over to Meredith Shaw (meredith@golfcentral.ns.ca) and Kathy Powers (kathy@golfcentral.ns.ca) to continue the locally owned, independent tradition.
